Heart In A Castle

There happens to be
Inaccessible parts,
Fortified Fort Knox
Fear vulnerability
Driving me inward, mind

Emotions stored
In the high castle, locked
Trying to break free, chains
So hard to breathe, barely alive
Yet still being human, me

Inside walls, yonder
Encased in melancholy
Winter blooms, thriving
No soul to witness, silence
But there is beauty here still.

Conflicted, get out
Let you in, please get out again
Vacuum energy
Your touch sets fire, chaos hurts
I’d rather be alone, fortress.
