On Depression

Lone figure on the water
Misty vapors, surround
Touched by a heavy aura
Dragging
Her eyes cast down
Tears streaming down her pale face
Long indigo black hair
Wavering in the wind
A black swan
Waiting
Time holds still, Eternity

Slowly, she walks
Chased by sunlight
Pale ivory feet caressing the bleak moss carpet
Yesterday’s heavy rain, forgotten
The seeds start to grow
Newly minted leaves unfurling
Tiny sighs, life
Persephone
The beginning of spring
There is hope.
